Anklets.

Worn on skin, and mostly in summer

Eleven anklets, and almost all of them adjustable, which matters more here than anywhere else in the shop: an ankle changes measurement between morning and evening and between seasons, so a fixed length that fits in one is tight in the other.

They sit against skin all day, which is why the metal is worth a moment. The sterling silver pieces are stamped 925; the gold-toned ones are plated. Neither reacts well to chlorine or salt water, so take one off before a pool or the sea if you want it to keep its finish — that is ordinary for plated jewellery rather than a fault in these.
